What's in a Name?
τέλος ("tay-los")
An ancient Greek idea: the "that for the sake of which" something exists or changes. In a word, purpose.
Coffee reaches its télos when you take your first drink, but every stage before that, from farming to brewing, is a journey of transformation. We named the brand for that process and pursuit, because the cup is the point, and so is everything it took to get there.
Télos is coffee made with intention and shared without pretense, and we hope every sip helps fuel your purpose.
We Roast for Connoisseurs and Casual Drinkers
You don't have to speak the language of tasting notes, varietals, and processing methods to appreciate specialty coffee. If you do, there's plenty here for you too.
We take our part in the coffee value chain seriously, without taking ourselves too seriously.

From farmer to customers and anyone in between, we're committed to building relationships with people who share both our love and our passion for coffee.

Fuel Your Purpose
At Télos Coffee Roasters we operate around the principles of honesty, potential, and purpose.
Every bean is intentionally sourced, carefully roasted, expertly tested, and personally packaged by real humans.
Maybe you've found your purpose. Maybe you're still searching. Perhaps it's evolving along with you. Whatever the case, we're glad you're here, and honored to be a part of your journey.
Our purpose is coffee, and we're here to fuel yours.
About Matthew
Matthew is the founder and head roaster at Télos Coffee Roasters. Before founding Télos, he spent nearly a decade in the US military as an Army medic and nurse. During his service, he discovered specialty coffee in 2013, and it quickly became a hobby and a passion.
Before long, he was scouring every city he visited for coffee shops and the internet for beans and brew guides. Soon he was roasting his own coffee, and shortly after leaving the military, he found himself at a crossroads: continue a career in healthcare, or pursue his dream of owning a coffee company.

He took a leap of faith, which led him to work nearly every job in the trade, from barista to head roaster. Coffee became a part of his purpose, and Télos Coffee Roasters is his way of helping you fuel yours. He lives north of Fort Worth, Texas, with his wife and three children.
